3-19-11 Gold Hill Cruise-In

Another beautiful spring day for a cruise-in.  This time the location was Gold Hill, NC, a restored mining town from the 1800’s.  Many period buildings have been re-located to the town and have become shops.  There are also a number of artisans that do their thing in Gold Hill.

Every third Saturday, cars will be gathering in Gold Hill from 3:00-9:00.  It was a great atmosphere and drew both cars and bikes.  As with any event, the unsung heroes are the workers.  Many thanks to all of them.

As usual, Camaro’s were well respresented.

Here are a couple of my favorite street rods.

There was a very cool 1970 Boss 429 Mustang.  And it is a real one!!

Other cars that I liked!!

There is even a period gas station with lots of goodies for sale.

And, last, but not least, there are the people that make it all worthwhile.  See you at the next cruise!!!
